Down south, our infrastructure isn’t made for freezing weather. That’s a harsh fact we all faced this January when record temperatures froze pipes across the state of Louisiana. Countless pipes burst, we all ran our taps, the water pressure dropped, and boil water notices started popping up, parish by parish.
Unlike other areas of Louisiana, Jefferson Parish rarely issues boil water notices. Unfortunately, that was not the case this winter. After the freeze, Kenner residents lacked water and supplies – which is when CRC Global Solutions opened its stores.
We pulled water and sports drinks from our distribution centers and donated them—for free—to all residents in need.
CRC donated over 68,476 water bottles, totaling over 8,000 gallons of water, to Kenner residents. In addition to the bottles distributed at Kenner’s City Hall, CRC also donated water to five nursing homes and assisted living centers in the area.
When disaster strikes, CRC Global Solutions is here to lend a hand in any and every way we can.
